Dreams that Make You Go – What the Heck?!

When a series of dreams has you waking up thinking WTH! Who was I tapping into last night? Where was I traveling in my sleep! Then you stand up and your balance feels off – and no, there was not any partying involved the night before. You might want to do what I have learned over the years: stop, take a few deep breaths, and look at the dream snippets again to identify any emotions, structures or colors I am aware of within the scenes. Yes, I have encountered moments like this previously within the dream state. When I do not know right off the bat where or who it is coming from, I have learned to step back and keep my observational skills open as I go throughout the day or week to see what surfaces.

The dreams we have are often based on symbolism or it can be factual from a big picture view. Yesterday’s dreams were courtesy of a new group of pets I would be meeting later that morning. They were sharing aspects of their past and present experiences in very graphic ways. The added challenge is that they showed themselves in human form versus the physical likeness of their animal form. It took walking into the environment, certain words from the pet parent, and my own observations to connect the dots.

You may ask why would I receive messages in the dream state? It can be the most open channel…the least filled with day-to-day blocks or judgments of the information we are intuitively receiving. This has been one of the key methods I have had messages from angels, loved ones, animal beings and the like come through. Often animals in my dreams will show themselves in human form as they know I do not see them any different from us. Others will show themselves briefly as their animal self and then shift to a human form. For example, one male cat comes through in a long-sleeved purple shirt with dark hair and a thin build and two older female dogs show up as grandmotherly gray-haired women.

Why would I receive graphic messages from the animals? A couple of things: they do not know how I will interpret their symbolism nor the effect it will have on me, they want to give me a head’s up. In this week’s case, one was sharing a painful experience from their youth to help me understand their response / reaction to new people entering the home. It is also to assist me in not taking it personal or attempting to touch the animal being until they are ready. As you can see, this dream message was integral to the first-time meeting with this family.
