The Power of Music

The more I walk my journey with opening my intuition and connection not only with those outside me but within to understand what my body is speaking to me via changes, pressure, and the like, I am continuously being guided more to music as a foundation for stronger and clearer understanding of messages. Just like we all can say things slightly differently so can our bodies, the beings beside us and those in nature.

Music for me has been instrumental in my path from the lyrics, the melody, and how the meaning correlates to what is happening in my journey. Sometimes the key is one or two lines, the whole song, or what/who the music aligns. I have found it is also something that helps me connect to the deeper meanings and messages within situations, experiences, and challenges by upleveling what I am seeing to go beyond while providing messages from loved ones and others often to learn what it is that they are attempting to share that just isn’t clicking into place on the surface.

Growing up, I was not the person who heard a song on the radio and immediately knew who sang it, what they looked like, or what band they were in. The bottom line for me was what I felt from the music and the lyrics. So, it was quite a unique experience when Spirit and loved ones on the other side began using it as a form of communication with me initially solely in dreams. Sometimes it was a single lyric with a voice, other times the lyric came with a video as the identifier which led me to internet searches, and some black and white versus in color.

Messages early on could me more cryptic depending on the familiarity with the music, but it was also teaching about understanding the symbols that came through in a dream for instance one occurrence in mid-2013 with a black cat telling me everything would be alright. When it first came through, I just thought well that’s interesting. I kept being drawn back to it throughout the day and stopped to look up the name of the cat that spoke to me which was moon shadow and I found a song with this title by an artist whose first name was Cat who at the time had dark hair. The real importance was the meaning of the song which spoke of keeping my focus optimistic as I walked the days ahead and this being the key to what followed. The timing of this song being shortly after I learned my position at a college was eliminated in connection with a restructuring in preparation to a merger.

Listening to music can help build a better base for healing and connection. What helps you gain clarity and connection? Is it music – a certain style, songs with words or those that solely evoke feelings? Finding what helps you is powerful!
