Animal Reiki with Your Pets
Just as people receive benefits from treatments such as massage, chiropractic and others, Reiki has its place as well. I see these as complementary in nature. Chiropractic working on the spinal column through which connecting into the communication system of the nervous system, emotions, and even the physical responses linked to the individual vertebrae. A massage addressing the muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Whereas Reiki supports the body as it works on the energetic connection by assisting in moving the energy from one area or system to another that can become stuck via emotions, mental thoughts, the never-ending loop, and experiences even before these materialize into a physical ailment. The way we behave or do something may become altered as a coping mechanism without realizing or knowing why it occurred.
Animals often find value in the various treatments as well and tend to understand how energy works as they are much more connected and present with the natural world around them. Reiki supports animal beings in a variety of ways, and rarely do we know the exact location it is intended to support as it goes where it is needed most. To best way to describe my role is to say I am the passage through which the energy flows just as a traditional channel allows boats to move along a waterway between two land masses, I connect into the energy as a bridge bringing it from the source to you and/or your animal beings. They choose how they receive it whether through a hands-on approach or via distance which can also be termed remote Reiki sent via intention directly to the individual regardless of species. This is often the preferred method when dealing with the wild ones for both their protection and my own as well as many others who may be more sensitive to the energy. Reiki offers a calming environment for the body to receive support.
If you refer to my recent blog that talks about the distances that animals can feel or hear things and also know that they tend to be much more connected intuitively and therefore know when we are opening a channel with them and especially as we reach out to them with the intention to join with them. It is similar to you suddenly thinking of someone and your phone ringing only to be that person. Often this is unknowingly or done on a subconscious level, yet it is sensed or felt, nonetheless.
Some of the situations in which Reiki benefits the animal beings are:
· Separation anxiety
· Traumatic events such as neglect or illness
· Joining a new family
· Processing grief or change
· Support of their walk towards the Rainbow Bridge
These are just a few of the benefits of your animal beings receiving a Reiki session.
