Muscle Testing for You and Your Pets

There are several ways to muscle test which can work both with pets and yourself. Muscle testing works by connecting into the body and subconscious mind.

It is beneficial for questions involving a Yes/No type of answer or choice. It could be for example “which is the best brand of multivitamin for my body? This technique helps you determine what is best for you and/or your pets.

In each of the styles, it is working with your body’s responses to identify the solution or answer. It can be used for the example above or even:
- which vegetables are the best for me today
- using it at the grocery store to select items to pick up for the week
- does my body need cardio, stretching, or qigong today

There are all sorts of ways to use muscle testing. We are only limited by our own thoughts and beliefs on how this tool can be used.

A simple way to see what constitutes a yes or affirmative answer versus a no in your body’s response is to use a sample with a known answer.

  • You can start with asking if your name is (say your actual name) and notice which way your body moves, whether your fingers stay locked or your arm stays firm as you will see in a moment.

  • Then test for the opposing response by asking if your name is (say a fictitious or wrong name) and see which way your body moves or how it differs.

  • You can also use the color of your eyes, are you right-handed or left-handed, or similar where you know the answer as a way of giving yourself a baseline for the way your subconscious and/or body responds and assists you in what is true for you.

With your pets, you can also test initially on known items/responses where once again you are the tester and your subconscious/body is the responder by asking the questions about them specifically.

  • Is the pet’s name (use your pet’s actual name), is the name (use a fictitious name);

  • Is “Snoopy or what your pet’s name is” on your left/right side, etc.

Like with a person, you can test whether a certain brand of supplement is best for your pet, if you have several types of t-r-e-a-t-s, which one(s) would be best today, or what color would be supportive of your pet today – and know if you have four different pets, their needs may be different.

You will go through each item, brand, etc., one at a time to see what the answer is to your specific yes/no questions.

It is best when you do not try to control the outcome. So detaching works best in getting clear and concise responses. It takes practice.

Always make sure you are in tiptop health and energy the day of your testing as lower energy can cause an inaccurate reading. This does not take the place of regular medical or veterinary care.

Here are some examples of the Muscle Testing techniques:

1)     Utilizing your body’s movement to determine a yes versus a no response.
Stand up straight, if it is an object hold it in a hand (otherwise just focus on what your question is) and ask your body to show you what yes looks like, please note it could be a tilt forward or backward. Then ask your body to show you what a no looks like. Then you can use some of the baseline testing for yourself or your pet(s).

2)     Another technique is using your fingers to create a steadfast lock for one answer and a breakaway motion for the other. I have seen several variations as explained in the video and text below:

  • Using the index finger and thumb creating a circle on one hand, create a second circle with the thumb and index finger on the second hand then interlock the two circle which causes one circle to be position vertically and the other horizontally (Image 1 on the video).

  • Using the thumb and middle finger on both hands to create the circle lock as described above (Image 2 on the video).

  • Using one thumb and finger circle on one hand and using only the index finger of the other hand place it through the circle. One answer would keep the circle closed and the other would open the door or fingers (Image 3 on the video).

For me personally, I use the middle finger/thumb combination as I found it to be the steadiest way for me with the shaking or the body sway movement depending on what I am testing.

Enjoy finding what works for you and your pets! This is a great way to learn to work with your body and to build a stronger relationship learning to trust your subconscious and the body.
