Celebrating with Pets
While out with a pup client this week, I learned via his communication a great reminder. When we are doing things in our life whether for work or personal, the actions can feel big or small at the time. What we do next is just as important. Celebrating those moments are key for even those we feel are minor as it keeps the momentum going which helps us continue to take steps towards our goals. This is always something are pet friends are ready to help us acknowledge.
In this week’s experience, it included a celebration dance in the form of zoomies around the yard showing me the importance of doing something fun and enjoyable to shift the energy versus letting the moment go by without acknowledging the progress. Animal friends are always teaching! I am glad to report they are some of the most patient teachers, I have come across. All we must do is open the door, be gentle and loving with ourselves. Just as with any textbook subject, it takes some time to tune in and understand not only the method of communication they are choosing, but also what we are receiving.
Some will use solely actions such as a pet friend sliding into a wall during play to share if you continue pushing on without resting, you are going to hit a wall. Others may include with the actions whatever they can find in or out of the house to aid in the message. A garden glove becomes a message of being able to handle it. Many communicate through emotions. For instance, while visiting a couple of cats suddenly, I felt frustration when I hadn’t during the first twenty minutes I was there. When I tuned in, I learned they were picking it up from others in their building. In that case, I sent Reiki remotely to all the pets in the building including those I was seated near that were feeling the transference along with love to the people. With some animals, it can be hearing a cartoon-like voice of a young pup talking excitedly about something he saw in his yard. And still others utilize dreams to pass along messages.
Pets want to celebrate everything with you along with their human brothers and sisters. They are there every step of the way to support you through the pain, sorrow, love, and joy - regardless of how big or small.
