Communication with the Animal Kingdom - Part One
Animals understand energy from being truly one with their environment whether that is in the natural world, on a farm or ranch, or in your home or yard. They know when something new has entered despite not always understanding what is causing the shift. They may receive information through a feeling, scent, sense, or connect via images when something has shifted. All of this is a part of the way they communicate. Often when something doesn’t feel right, they shake it off – literally through an all body shake like shaking off water from their coat or skin. We would do well to learn that from the animal kingdom versus dwelling in worry or apprehension for too long. Feel it, observe it, accept the way we feel about it or what emotions may be surfacing, choose to embody or release it, and move forward.
For us learning the depth of their knowledge is often a key component to understanding them, their responses, the actions, or their behaviors – and what may be contributing to a shift. Like us, something that seems to be a minor shift to many can seem monumental to the one it affects depending on their background, experiences, what they are hearing, and how they are comprehending or interpreting it. This is the same with animals.
When I first began learning about animal communication in a more formal setting, a key awareness came from the fact that we, as people, can sense or pick up on energy five to eight feet out from our body meaning often what we are feeling or what we are picking up on such as thoughts can be someone else’s even animals. A dog can instinctually sense things up to 10 times its body size, a cat it is the size of however big their house or territory is, the larger wild animals (lion, tiger, or bears for example) it is how large their territory or forest is, and with smaller wild animals they tend to coincide with the canine.
With that in mind, your animals and pets pick up on what you are saying vocally as well as what your body is telling them whether chemically via a scent shift, a change in the lightness or denseness of your body or the way your emotions effect the energetic weight of your body, when we aren’t sure the best way to communicate something or we are attempting not to say the v-e-t word, it can come across as a nervous energy to the pets. So yes, they often know something is up! Going back to the larger wild animal beings, before you even enter an animal park, sanctuary, or zoo – the animals know your energy, they know if something is off aka you’re verbally saying one thing, but your body language or scent is saying something different – they work to identify what is the truth. If a person does something that one animal being deems disrespectful or mean, all will know it and they will know which person it is.
The way we connect, interact, or communicate with the animal beings begins with understanding this level of energy and the non-verbal ways they may respond to us.
