Play - Dog Style

The many versions of play according to a local canine friend came through on a recent outing. When we think of this activity in regard to them, it often comes associated with a ball in a backyard game of fetch, a hike on a trail, a long walk or a trip to a dog park.

My pup friend shared some of his favorite play excursions. Running carefree through green fields that can be made even greater when the sprinklers come on to surprise and soak us. Seeing another friend out and catching up on the latest neighborhood doggie news. Experiencing a water stop beneath his favorite shade tree on the route. Exploring every bush between home and the return for an enticing and joyful scent.

Rolling in your own yard that has been cooled via a watering of the grass. Racing across the yard to leap for joy into the cold swimming pool after a long walk out in the Arizona spring weather is on top of his list for favorite ways to play. That can only be surpassed by getting his pet companion person wet when he races towards her for a very wet hug doing his best to get her involved in this favorite mischievous amusement!

One that tells her she must let down her guard to laugh in spite of attempting to maintain a level of business decorum to allow the humor and lightness in. To see the love and enjoyment they want to share with every soul they connect with as they go about their days.

A reminder of the joys and importance of play!
