How Deep is Your Love

This is the question that Spirit asked me after hiking one day. The message that came through the song of the same name. Now this can mean a lot of things. It can be based on your passions, what drives you, even the level of care and love you provide yourself.

Several sub questions come to mind:

  •        What is the depth of your love? Is it only on the surface or does it go deeper than that…does it go to the depths of your core of who you are and where you are heading?

  •        The question of how deeply do you love yourself, are you willing to forego x, y, or z to better your health knowing these elements whether ingestible, other items, relationships, or experiences may not be the best for us in the moment as it relates to overall health. It could be answering the secondary question of are you willing to keep that one day you have off to re-fuel your mind, body, and spirit versus push yourself off the edge. In the past I did a lot of pushing myself to the point of getting sick and I believe the last eight years has been a series of steps learning how to love myself and it often means saying no to say yes to my own healing.

  •        How deeply do you love your passion, are you willing to put yourself out there to write about something that landed on your path and share its story as those are the next steps in your forward momentum. Even if it throws you outside your comfort zone or others may think you have lost it along the way – are you still willing to share the messages brought forth via intuition and Spirit? For me the answer is yes as that is the journey I am on. Learning to unlock my voice, be me, and not hide who I am.

  •        Just how deeply do you love and feel empowered by your joys, are you willing to fill yourself up daily with one or more of your joys to truly follow your heart even when understanding it is a choice. It may be a this or that which is challenging. It may be disengaging yourself from what the temperature or the weather is said to be to follow that joy and do the walk or hike anyway. For me the answer is yes – partially as I know I am taking care of my body through hydrating well and carrying extra water, fruit, snacks, and electrolyte add-ins for the water to re-fill the sodium levels. And yes, despite my heightened summer schedule, I have daily joys that are built into my schedule because for me that is a part of my healing journey.

Spirit’s question of how deep is your love can have multiple meanings to various people. Dig deep to find what it represents for you and your path forward.
