Soothes Their Soul
Some people wonder what I do with their pets and how it differs from others they have had watch their animal family members.
Here is the thing, I have been told what I do is very different from others. When l am at your home from the moment I arrive until I leave, your pets know I am there for them. I have been told I spoil them as they get as much one-on-one time as they want, and yes even if there are several of them, for however long I am there. Some will knock the phone out of my hand even if I am just changing the music or taking a picture of them as they crave this type of attention and know I willingly give it.
I still get excited when I sit down to truly connect with your pets after the visit tasks (food prep, fresh water, yard and/or litterbox cleanup) are completed. Whether through petting, belly rubs or someone running over in the midst to give me love. A cat coming to a gate separating his area from the rest to call to me for one-on-one connection and happily offering love and kisses in return as I sit down with him chatting and taking pleasure in being with one another until fifteen minutes later, he goes off to eat or take a nap. A cat who I am told was not seen by others. This fills my heart with joy.
Being with a crew who wants to be with me as much as I enjoy being with them is priceless. When another feline friend joins the pups and I in the main domain for resting, listening to music together, and practicing presence with them for the remainder of our visit, there is something they find unique, natural, and comforting about these experiences.
It is often about all of us thoroughly savoring our moments with each other. Being grateful for the opportunity to be accepted for who we are at the core with one another.
I do not know what others do who visit with your pets whether professionally, as a friend or a family member, and for me it isn’t about competition, it’s about the pets getting what they need that soothes their soul while you are away from them. ❤
