The Messenger
We do not always fully grasp the deeper meaning around the observations we take in during a pet visit, a walk about the neighborhood or even the symbolism that comes through in our dreams, yet these nuggets are often reintroduced at a later point providing us with a higher level of understanding that combined with what we learn via a pet parent, what we see with our eyes or what is occurring on the ground heightens the meaning of the messages.
In the past, it was a challenge for me to share these insights with anyone, family or otherwise, as I would initially question who the message was for: myself, a family member, or a pet parent. I saw the what if’s that may play out in how the knowledge was received or that the person may not be ready for what was coming through or any number of other personal fears relating to the experience.
During my early morning walks, lots of realizations and added wow, I never thought about it that way thoughts have been surfacing with my processing. I now see it as a gift that these animal beings, loved ones and others reach out to me in a variety of manners to share their messages in their own unique way and time. And know in my heart that the messages can be for all of those who loved the individual whether a human or animal being.
Now, I am learning to be okay with asking if the person is open to receive a message and relaying it while not taking on any ownership of how they receive it or what they do with it. This was just the case when I was awakened by a dream in the early hours of the morning with a message from a family member’s cat who crossed the rainbow bridge in the last six weeks who was coming through delivering information about one of his other pets. When I contacted the person, he mentioned how the message allowed him to step back and review observations he had noticed recently. It gave him comfort knowing that this cat who had been extremely close with the other pet would be there when he was ready to make the journey home.
Given my early childhood days as being a child who observed and listened to everything going on around me yet rarely verbalized and didn’t ask why, you can imagine my surprise at discovering that in the last few years I was receiving communications from those here and those in spirit. And maybe that is why as I observed signs and listened in a variety of ways to both the silence and the sounds of an environment which opened a natural channel for those using the dream state to connect as well as those using other ways.
Just like other morsels of knowledge that we learn everything is like a jigsaw puzzle where the correct pieces we do not always find immediately, and others seemingly fit yet are not exact. It is only recently that I recognized myself using the term of a messenger.
